Coffee isn't the only thing Colombia does exceptionally well — and we wanted our shop to reflect a bit more of the culture behind our farms, not just the beans they grow.
That's why we've added the Sombrero Vueltiao to the FINCORA range: Colombia's most recognisable hat, hand-braided from caña flecha fibre by artisans in Sinú, Córdoba. The distinctive black-and-white patterns aren't just decoration — each one is woven by hand using techniques passed down through generations, and the hat itself is recognised as a national symbol of Colombia.
It felt like a natural fit alongside our coffee. Both come from small, skilled producers working with materials and methods that take real time and care — whether that's a raised bed of honey-processed cherries in Cauca, or a strip of caña flecha being braided by hand in Sinú.
The Sombrero Vueltiao is available now in two sizes under Shop All → Apparel. It's as much a piece of Colombian craft as it is a hat — we hope you enjoy having a little bit of that story on your shelf, or your head.
